Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about getting started with Baripex. Can't find your answer? We're happy to help.

What is Baripex?

Baripex is a telehealth platform that connects Florida residents with independent, state-licensed clinicians for medically supervised GLP-1 weight-loss care. We are not a pharmacy and we do not practice medicine — we make it easy to be evaluated online and, if appropriate, receive a prescription and treatment at home.

How much does it cost?

Programs start at $189 for your first month and are billed as a flat monthly subscription with no hidden fees. Shipping is always included, and you can cancel anytime. The exact price depends on the program your clinician recommends.

Do I need insurance?

No. Baripex is a self-pay service, so you do not need insurance to get started. Your flat monthly membership covers your clinical evaluation, ongoing provider support, and medication when prescribed.

Are GLP-1 medications right for everyone?

No. GLP-1 medications are prescription-only and are not safe or appropriate for everyone. During your evaluation, a licensed clinician reviews your health history and screens for conditions that could make treatment unsafe. A prescription is issued only when it is clinically appropriate for you.

Is Baripex available outside Florida?

Right now, Baripex services are available only to residents of Florida. We are working to expand to additional states — check back or contact us to be notified when we launch in your area.

How is my health information protected?

Your information is encrypted in transit and at rest and is handled under privacy practices aligned with HIPAA. It is shared only with the clinicians and pharmacy partners involved in your care. We never sell your personal or health data.

What are compounded medications?

Compounded medications are prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy to meet a specific patient's needs. They are not reviewed or approved by the FDA before marketing. Your clinician will discuss the benefits and risks so you can make an informed decision.

How soon will I receive my medication?

If your clinician prescribes treatment, your medication typically ships from a licensed pharmacy within a few business days and arrives in discreet packaging. You'll receive tracking details and dosing guidance from your care team.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. You can cancel your membership at any time from your account dashboard. Please review our Refund & Return Policy for details on billing cycles and any medication that has already shipped.

Who prescribes my medication?

An independent healthcare provider licensed in Florida reviews your questionnaire and makes all prescribing decisions. Baripex does not practice medicine and does not influence clinical decisions.

What if I'm not approved for treatment?

If a clinician determines that GLP-1 therapy isn't safe or appropriate for you, you won't be charged for medication and they'll explain the reasoning. Your safety is the priority.

How do I contact my care team?

You can message your care team securely from your account dashboard once you've started. For general questions, email support@baripex.com or call (904) 444-2903 during business hours.
